#EnbyLife is featured at Writers Bloc today! ![]()
This week’s Bloc Feature is Deconstructed Gender: A Tried-And-True Recipe for Unwinding The Binary by Nikki Nicnevin.
The life affirming recipe has been shared by the very excellent and electric zine #EnbyLife – a zine about non-binary experiences and stories.
Hot on the heels of my National Young Writers’ Festival debut, I’m happy to announce I have a poem in the upcoming Antithesis Journal Volume 26! I worked the theme ‘liminal’ into a piece called ‘Factory’ about a person who goes to a job each day … a job that no longer exists but they cannot let go of. One of my weirdest poems to date! 🙂
If you’re in Melbourne, head to the launch! More details here.
Head along to the Zine Fair at GoMA, Brisbane this Sunday 25 September! I’ll be selling copies of all my zines there, including #EnbyLife and Feminist Puzzle Zine. See you there!
mous. magazine issue 2 is launching next week on Friday 23 Sept from 6.30pm in Brisbane. For more info, click here.
Also also also: I have a piece in this awesome issue! It’s called ‘Artistic expression beyond the binary’ – and it’s about non-binary creatives and artists.
Come to the launch to pick up your copy, have a drink and say hi to me! 🙂
This weekend is the Zine and Indie Comic Symposium at The Edge, SLQ in Brisbane! I’ll have a table/stall from 12-5pm on 20th and 21st. You can buy some zines and chat with me about rabbits! On Saturday I’ll also be on a queermo panel, and I’ll be chilling at the Golden Stapler Awards, hoping me and my zine pals win some things.
Last night’s Woolf Pack launch was magical and cider-filled. I socialised with other rad zinesters and was told my poem in this issue is ‘great but weird’, which is the best compliment IMO. Make sure you pick up your copy of Woolf Pack #7 to experience the weirdness for yourself and to read every other wonderful submission in there. 💖💖✨
