Ray/Rei Cox and I co-wrote a poem about the basil plant that travels with her in their van. And it’s been published in Cordite Poetry Review 102: GAME!
Read our poem ‘Reverse Reverence’.
I recommend viewing the desktop/full version and reading from the bottom upwards.

Very exciting news! This week I join Queensland Poetry as their Events and Marketing Manager!
Big love to Zenobia Frost who handed over the reins to me this weekend and has done an absolutely outstanding job. In this role I hope to honour, nurture and celebrate the poetry community, and the voices of future and established artists, especially those from marginalised backgrounds. May I remain humble, driven and community-focused.
Queensland Poetry (QP) supports poets and spoken-word artists in Queensland, Australia through its flagship annual festival, year-round events and workshops, Arts Queensland Poet-in-Residence Program, Arts Queensland Poetry Awards, prizes and challenges, and in-school programs.

I’m proud to have a new interactive Twine poem ‘How to Haunt’ published at Going Down Swinging! It’s an abstract journey through ghost hunting, transgender hauntings and bodies, and the erasure of trans histories.
Interact/play/read/consume ‘How to Haunt’ at Going Down Swinging. (TW for discussions of transphobia.)
This year I again had the pleasure of judging the Anne Elder Award through Australian Poetry. Fellow Judges Marcella Polain, Toby Fitch and I chose our winner Ella Jeffery for Dead Bolt (Puncher & Wattmann 2020), as well as awarding Highly Commended to Cadaver Dog by Luke Best (UQP 2020) and Commended to Ask Me About the Future by Rebecca Jessen (UQP 2020). Congratulations to all!
The award is named after Australian poet Anne Elder, 1918-1976. The Anne Elder Award is sponsored by Anne’s daughter, Cathie, and is for a sole-authored first book of poetry of 20-minimum pages in length, published in Australia.
Read our judge’s comments about the award winning books and more information about the award on the Australian Poetry website.
